Rock Ness Monster Climbing Competition at Clemson University

The Clemson Climbing Club is hosting the Rock Ness Monster Climbing Competition Saturday October 5, 2024 and event registration is now open for climbers. Don't delay, as the space for contestants is expected to be full two weeks before the Rock Ness Monster event. Registration is free for Clemson club members and $35 for non-club members if they register before 9/21/24. Climbers have the chance to win awesome prizes and put their climbing skills to the test while joining a rad community of climbers at Clemson. Of course climbers will want an awesome Rock Ness Monster contest t-shirt, which will be sold at the event or given for free for non-club members who register early. Back on a paddleboard

Wow, I finally made it back on a board. After growing up boarding, then a weekend warrior during my career, I loved boarding the most: skateboarding, snowboarding, surfing and paddleboarding. But after continued back, knee and hip problems, I don't make it out much. I've been paddleboarding probably only once a year for the last few years. While staying with family in Oklahoma, I'd been feeling cooped up and not loving the heat. So after getting a iSUP on sale, I was excited to try it out. Knowing it would be softer than a fiberglass board, and getting a big cushioned seat, I was so proud of myself for not only making it out, but showing my nephew a part of my true self. And was so stoked to have him push me off for my new board's maiden voyage 🥰. And after going around a small lake, I hated seeing the trash. I started with a plastic bag then just started getting more and more. I felt so good to get back on board (with Koko), get a lil wet and leave it much cleaner than how I found it. And I'm excited to make it back out as soon as I'm up for it!
